Gilbert F. Salazar age 59 of Raton, New Mexico passed away on Thursday September 26, 2013 in Raton. He was born July 4, 1954 in Denver Colorado to John Daniel and Ermie Mary Salazar.
He is preceded in death by his father John Daniel Salazar, mother Ermie Mary Salazar, brother Thomas Gerald Salazar.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Evelyn M. Salazar, daughters Gerri D. Salazar and fiancé Larry Zappanti Jr. of Weston, CO, Jill E. Salazar and companion Jordan Knipfing of Raton, NM, Son Jacolby J. Salazar and companion Denise Romero of Raton, NM, brother John Salazar and wife Eloyce Salazar of Rio Rancho, NM, Sister Linda Tafoya and husband Bob Tafoya of Raton, NM ,Grandson Matias Samora, Granddaughter Aunaleese Franco-Knipfing.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held at St Patrick- St Joseph Catholic Church in Raton, on Saturday October 12, 2013 at 9:30am with Deacon Thomas Alderette. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00am with Father John Trambley as the Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
