The Lady Tigers took to the floor again in Tiger Gym Thursday evening against the Trinidad Lady Miners.
The Lady Tigers dominated the first game of the match with strong play from the net as Mikala Vertovec got a handle on slamming the ball across the net. The girls teamed up at the net for blocks and those that made it past or went high were caught by the second row and setup for the pass and set.
Game two went much the same way yet the Lady Miners played it tough and by the third game of the match took control early on before Raton managed to come back and tie the game at 20. Between serves and long vollies Trinidad finally managed to pull it.
As game four started Raton took off and stayed out in front often by as many as seven points before they finally took it with serves from Leah Cimino and Mikala Vertovec.
The Lady Tigers will travel to Albuquerque to Sandia High for a two day tourney on Friday and Saturday.
