Jake S. Garcia, Jr, 67, of Royal, Arkansas passed away Saturday, September 7th, 2013. He was born October 22nd, 1945 in Wagon Mound, New Mexico to Jacobo and Florence Garcia.
Jake was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by countless friends. All of his life, he worked with thoroughbred race horses, enjoyed his trips to Oaklawn and loved all of his animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life of 35 years, Lucy Garcia.
Cherishing his memory are his children, Andrew and Christina Garcia, Julie and Joey Williams, Martha and Jim Gordon, Steve and Gina Faulkner, and Carl and Dolores Chapman; brothers, Lloyd and Beatrice Garcia, Joe and Helen Garcia, Gilbert and MollyGarcia, Johnny and Juanita Garcia, George Garcia, and Ben Garcia; sisters, Helen Bienvidos, Rosey Cardenas, Josephine Montoya, Eralia Ponce; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday September 11th, 2013 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hot Springs.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, at Gross funeral Home, 120 Wrights Street, Hot Springs(501)624-1244.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Garcia, Steve Faulkner, Brett Faulkner, Carl Chapman, Jim Gordon, Christopher Gordon, Michael Gordon, and Joey Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond and Rosella Sanchez, the staff of National Park Medical Center, and the staff of Gentiva Hospice.
