Lorene Grob passed away Saturday August 31, 2013. She was born in Union County, NM, July 28, 1917 the daughter of Jesse and Vada Daves. She married Roy Grob May 13, 1939 who preceded her in death.
After attending Highlands Universitgy, Lorene taught school. Later in life she retired as a Colfax County District Court Baliff. Her interests ranged from collecting antiques, gardening, quilting,, crocheting and enjoying her flowers. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by one daughter Laverne Branson of Denver, CO, one son Rex Grob of Colorado Springs, CO, five grandchildren, Renell (Ed) Darrell of Grand Junction, CO, Royce (Jill) Branson of Magnolis, TX, Bryan Grob, Reece Grob and Keith Grob of Fargo, ND. Four Great grandchildren Monica (Troy) Anthony, Rylan Branson, Ryder Branson and Sasha Grob and four great great grandchildren, Aspen Skyy, Mason, Juliet and Cameron Anthony.
Visitation will be Tuesday September 3, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton.
Funeral services will be Wednesday September 4, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel in Raton, Burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery in Raton.
