Fugitive Arrested By Colfax County Sheriff’s Office and Raton Police Department

On September 13, 2016, Detective Moore of the Colfax County Sheriff’s Office received a citizen’s tip about the whereabouts of Michael Sandoval. Michael Sandoval was wanted for two felony bench warrants out of Raton District Court.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence on the 400 block of South 5th Street in Raton. Officers from the Colfax County Sheriff’s Office and Raton Police Department made entry into the residence and took Michael Sandoval into custody. Michael Sandoval was booked on the outstanding bench warrants. The resident, Iesha Romero, was also taken into custody for Harboring a Felon and Resisting an Officer.

The bench warrants for Michael Sandoval stemmed from the original charges of:

Conspiracy to Receive or Transfer Stolen Motor Vehicle

Tampering with Evidence

Conspiracy to Tamper with Evidence

False Evidence of Registration
