\nThe only requirement for membership is a desire
\nto stop drinking.
\nThere are no dues or fees for A.A. membership;
\nwe are self supporting through our own contributions.
\nA.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination,
\npolitics, organization or institution; does not wish
\nto engage in any controversy, neither endorses
\nnor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is
\nto stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve
