Students can start taking general college courses the second semester of their freshman year. Most classes offered to students are done asynchronously and are at virtually no cost to students. This is a way for students to get ahead by earning high school credit and college credit at the same time. Raton High School partners with Santa Fe Community Collee (SFCC) on many different pathways for students. Currently, RHS offers a certificate in Accounting Specialist, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, Application Development (Computer Programming), Business Administration, Community Health Worker, Early Childhood Development, Film Technician Training, Liberal Arts, Nurse Aide, Nutrition, and Phlebotomy. RHS also works in partnership with High Plains REC and Mesalands Community College (MCC) to offer the Wind Energy Technician Program.<\/p>\n
Raton High School and Raton Public Schools are committed to bringing more opportunities to students and ensuring that they leave RHS with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in their futures.<\/p>\n
