Jacob Allen \u201cAl\u201d Trujillo, of Trinidad, Colorado, passed away on March 31,
\n2025, in Trinidad, Colorado. He passed away surrounded by family and
\njoined his beloved wife, whom he missed dearly.
\nHis Rosary will be held Monday, April 14th, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at
\n9:30 am.
\nHis Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church after the
\nRosary at 10:00 am. Following the service, he will be placed at his final
\nresting place at the Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Comi Funeral
\nHome.
\nAl Trujillo was born on August 4, 1951, to Jake and Alice Trujillo of Trinidad
\nColorado. He graduated from Trinidad High School and completed an
\nassociate\u2019s degree from Trinidad State College. On February 10th of 1973, he
\nmarried Virginia Sanchez of Trinidad. Together they spent nearly 50 years
\ntogether. Al was a U.S. Army veteran and followed his military service with a
\ncareer as a Colorado State Patrolman. After all his service to the state and
\ncountry, Al still had a passion for supporting veterans, so he worked locally
\nas the Veterans Service office in the Las Animas County Courthouse.
\nJacob Allen \u201cAl\u201d Trujillo is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Trujillo,
\nParents: Jake and Alice Trujillo, Brothers: Jack Trujillo, Ralph Trujillo, Joseph
\nTrujillo, James Trujillo, Augustine Trujillo, Sister; Emily Trujillo Sisters-in-law;
\nElvira Trujillo and Diane Trujillo Nephew; Shaun Castillo
\nHe is survived by daughter Jennifer (Jeff) Turner, granddaughters; Shanoah
\nGarcia and Johnna (Josue) Nadeau, Grandson Derik Turner, Great-grandson
\nEli Turner. Brothers: Wayne (Rita) Trujillo, William (Teresa) Trujillo Sisters;
\nMarilyn (Raymond) Castillo, Gloria (Anthony) Vigil, Sister-in-law; Mary Trujillo,
\nNumerous nieces and nephews.
