Frances passed away peacefully<br \/>\nJanuary 18, 2025 in Trinidad Colorado. Frances was the middle child of two<br \/>\nbrothers, Charles Duran the eldest and Leroy Duran the baby, who Frances<br \/>\nadored and raised.<br \/>\nFrances&#8217; parents passed away at an early age. Jenny\u2019s sister&#8217;s Margaret Hart<br \/>\nand Rose Marie Hart, teamed up and raised Frances and her brothers. Frances<br \/>\nlived in Delagua, Aguilar, Ludlow, and Trinidad. Frances met her husband Joseph<br \/>\nSerano Niccoli as a teenager and married him. Together they had three<br \/>\nchildren, Freddie, Irma and Annette and settled in Trinidad Colorado. Frances<br \/>\nworked at Ben Franklin\u2019s in the 70&#8217;s as a cash register clerk. In the 70s and<br \/>\n80s\u2018she worked at Jamieson\u2019s Department Store as a sales clerk, accountant,<br \/>\nand gift wrapper, which she did perfectly, until her husband, Joseph got sick with<br \/>\ncancer and she decided to stay home and became his caregiver.<br \/>\nFrances had many passions that she loved to do. She enjoyed the dances in<br \/>\nLudlow, where I believe she met her husband at. She was great at crocheting<br \/>\noutts for dolls with fancy dresses. She loved to bake cakes from scratch and<br \/>\ndecorate them so beautifully. Her cakes were delicious. She also loved to sew<br \/>\nand would fashion design and make our clothing growing up. She also liked to<br \/>\ngive the grandkids haircuts to the boys with a bowl and razor and scissors for<br \/>\nthe girls. She had a passion for owls and collected them. She loved the actor<br \/>\nJohn Wayne because he always reminded her of her husband Joseph. She also<br \/>\nloved to babysit. She would make a large impact on their lives and was so loved<br \/>\nby each child.<br \/>\nFrances was the matriarch of the family and tried to make it a point to keep the<br \/>\nfamilies together. What Frances loved the most was being with her<br \/>\ngrandchildren, great grandchildren and her great-great grandchildren. They were<br \/>\nher pride and joy. She would welcome everyone into her home with open arms<br \/>\nand a big heart. She adopted many of our friends as her grandkids.<br \/>\nFrances was loved by everyone she met. She was a very strong woman, with a<br \/>\nheart of gold and a beautiful smile, who rarely complained about her pain and<br \/>\nfought to the very end. She is survived by her granddaughters: Gaylene<br \/>\nFuru-Vigil (Robert Vigil Jr.) Barbara Decker, Theresa Killian (Kevin) Lactic<br \/>\nEdwards, Serana Arellano, grandsons: Roy Niccoli (Brooke), Harvey Decker<br \/>\n(Lexie), William Decker (Felicia), and Abe Vigil; great grandchildren:Lilijana Furu<br \/>\nVigil, Robert Race Furu Vigil, Brittney Rutherford (Austin), Lacretia Vigil Bayer<br \/>\n(Adam), and Abe Vigil; great-great grandchildren: Malachi Felthager, Tatum<br \/>\nRutherford, Max Niccoli, Zackary Niccoli, Weston Cole Niccoli, Bellezza Katrina<br \/>\nNiccoli, Sophia Julianne Niccoli, Ivy Cook (Riley), Mark Miera Jr., Zameralynn<br \/>\nMiera, Elizabeth Niccoli, and Antonio Niccoli; her special and favorite niece<br \/>\nDomonica Esgar (Ric); her favorite cousins: Johnny Trujillo and Billy Hart;<br \/>\nDaughter-in-law Joy Cummings and Son-in-law Henry A Furu III, and several<br \/>\ncousins, nieces, nephews and loved ones who she adored.<br \/>\nPreceded in death by her parents Fred and Jenny Duran, Leroy Duran (brother),<br \/>\nJoseph Serano Niccoli (husband), Fredrick Niccoli (son) Irma Furu and Annette<br \/>\nFelthager (daughters), Margaret Hart and Rosie Marie Hart (aunties), Corey<br \/>\nFelthager, Clinton Furu, Mathew Niccoli, and Joey Niccoli (grandsons) Dennis<br \/>\nFelthager, Vaughn Vigil and Erin Vigil (great grandchildren), (grandparents) and<br \/>\nmany other family members.<br \/>\nFrances services are Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 at Comi Funeral Home<br \/>\nlocated at 1804 E. Main Street, Trinidad Co 81082 at 10am. Interment at<br \/>\nTrinidad Catholic Cemetery with Father Hank ociating. Donations can go to<br \/>\nComi Funeral Home and send correspondence to Family of Frances Niccoli at<br \/>\n301 N. Commercial Street, Trinidad CO 81082.<br \/>\nPallbearers are Race Vigil, Roy Niccoli, Che\u2019 Felthager, Slade Maes, Lejon<br \/>\nGuiterrez, and Shawn Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Trujillo, Sonny<br \/>\nTrujillo, Henry Furu III, Ric Esgar, and Mike Armijo Sr.<br \/>\nA Special Note of Thanks to Domonica and Ric Esgar for their love for Frances,<br \/>\nhelping take great care of her over the years. Johnny and Sonny Trujillo for<br \/>\nalways visiting and keeping the family together. Gail Courtney, Henry Furu III and<br \/>\nChe\u2019 Felthager for always visiting her in the nursing home. Thank you to<br \/>\nGwendolyn, Brock Lopez, Athena Brock Osborne for your love and support.<br \/>\nThank you to the staff at the Trinidad Inn Rehabilitation Nursing Home and Mt.<br \/>\nRose Hospice Services for their love, caring and support with Frances. She was<br \/>\nalways happy and comfortable thanks to you all.
