The Lady Tigers hosted The Lady Braves Saturday afternoon October 7, 2023 in Tiger Gym for a district match where the Lady Braves took all three matches from the Lady Tigers.<\/p>\n

The C-Team match saw the Lady Braves take the early lead and never look back in both games as they simply out played the Lady Tigers who seemed to have problems keeping hits in play. The Lady Braves held Raton to single digit scores in both games.<\/p>\n

The JV match saw Santa Fe pull ahead in game one and hold the Lady Tigers to to single digits until Raton managed to battle a few points just into double digits before the Lady Braves put it away. Game two started out a bit better as Santa Fe took the early lead only to let Raton battle back and tie the game at 3, 4, 5, and 6 before Santa Fe pulled away and held Raton to 11.<\/p>\n

The Varsity match saw Raton tie game one at 6 and 7 before Santa Fe pulled away. Raton battled on but wasn’t able to catch up with the Lady Braves before they finished off the game. In game two Santa Fe pulled out in front and held Raton to single digits until late in the game when Raton finally managed to move into double digits. The Raton ladies struggled with hits staying in play as many went awry and out of bounds.<\/p>\n

Game three saw Raton play a much better game keeping the score much closer by taking the lead then allowing Santa Fe to tie at 6 and 7. From there Santa Fe pulled ahead but could only manage a five point lead. As the game neared an end Raton had pulled to a 22-20 score. The Santa Fe defense stiffened up and managed to pull away for the win.<\/p>\n
