Evelyn was born on\u00a0<span id=\"OBJ_PREFIX_DWT239_com_zimbra_date\" class=\"Object\" role=\"link\"><span id=\"OBJ_PREFIX_DWT248_com_zimbra_date\" class=\"Object\" role=\"link\">April 8th, 1935<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in Pecos, New Mexico to Vincent and Lucy Torres.<br \/>\nEvelyn is survived by her five children, Ron Valdez, and Sharon (Jim Rouse Jr.) Valdez, Valorie (Tom) Velasquez, Steve Valdez, and Tim (Tonya) Valdez and her special friend Raymond Lopez of 33 years. She is the loving grandmother to her 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Alene Martinez, Gilbert Torres, and Bob (Sue) Romero; numerous nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>She is preceded in death by her father, Vincent Torres; mother, Lucy Torres; stepfather, Fidel Romero; grandchildren, Jeannie Gonzales, Theron Valdez, Aeriel Valdez; daughter-in-law, Terri Valdez; and husband and the father of her children, Nash Valdez.<\/p>\n<p>Rosary will be held at Comi Funeral Home on\u00a0<span id=\"OBJ_PREFIX_DWT249_com_zimbra_date\" class=\"Object\" role=\"link\">Monday<\/span>,\u00a0<span id=\"OBJ_PREFIX_DWT240_com_zimbra_date\" class=\"Object\" role=\"link\"><span id=\"OBJ_PREFIX_DWT250_com_zimbra_date\" class=\"Object\" role=\"link\">July 17th, 2023<\/span><\/span>\u00a0at 9 am, with the Funeral Services following at Faith Christian Fellowship Church at 10 am.<br \/>\nInurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Evelyn June Valdez, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on\u00a0Saturday,\u00a0July 8th, 2023.
