Bob was born to Fred and Priscilla Maldonado on July 10, 1938, in Velarde, Colorado. Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father, infant sister Louise; his daughter Shelia and his grandson Jerry Wayne.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Bob is survived by his wonderful and beloved wife of 35 years, Shirley Chilton Maldonado, and 5 children, Ferna \u201cMissy\u201d Kincaid and husband Red of Albuquerque, NM, Robert Maldonado of Portales, NM, Lla and Mike Tubbs of Justin, CA, Toni Meade of Moriarty, NM, and Ellen and Bob Stanley of Colorado Springs, CO. Bob is also survived by 10 grandchildren who were the light of his life, they are Caroline (Danny) White, Chance (Haley) Hritz, Kaylyn Maldonado, Vanessa Riley, Larry Fecter, Patrick Tubbs, Andrew Tubbs, Aaron Nava, Jason Nava, Felicia Cleer, and Justin Cleer. Bob had the additional joy of knowing sixteen Great Grandchildren and one Great, Great Grandchild. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Bob is also survived by his five siblings: Ruth \u201cBetty\u201d (Bob, deceased) Knox, Fred \u201cBuddy\u201d (Joanne deceased) Maldonado, William \u201cBilly\u201d (Kathy) Maldonado, Josephine \u201cJoJo\u201d (Richard) Steadman, and Teresa \u201cTeri\u201d (Robert) Pennison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">In his younger days, Bob was a saddle bronc rider and a bona fide cowboy who earned his right to wear hat and boots by \u201clooking at a cow\u2019s back end all day\u201d. Later, he was a Meat Cutter for over 30 years. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Bob was an artist and sculptor and the author of three books about his life as a cowboy: EMPTY SADDLES; COW CAMPS AND SOME OF THE HORSES ON THE BIG RANCHES IN THE CIMARRON, NEW MEXICO CATTLE COUNTRY, and EMPTY SADDLES, THE COWBOYS OF CIMARRON COUNTRY.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Bob was a Man for all seasons! Bob will be sorely missed by all his friends and family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Segoe UI, Lucida Sans, sans-serif;\">&#8220;Bobby&#8217;s Family<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">will be having a graveside service on\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #51862f;\">October 7<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">th<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">at 11 am at Mt View Cemetery in Cimarron.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For anyone who would like to attend.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Robert \u201cBob\u201d Maldonado, age 84 of Moriarty, New Mexico, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2022.
