{"id":76065,"date":"2022-01-03T13:01:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-03T20:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/krtnradio.com\/?p=76065"},"modified":"2022-01-03T13:01:00","modified_gmt":"2022-01-03T20:01:00","slug":"in-loving-memory-of-leonard-castillo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/krtnradio.com\/wp\/2022\/01\/03\/in-loving-memory-of-leonard-castillo\/","title":{"rendered":"In Loving Memory of Leonard Castillo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leonard Castillo, of Trinidad Colorado, passed away on\u00a0December 28, 2021, due to complications from COVID.\u00a0 He was born on January 3, 1955, in Trinidad, CO, to Joe and Christella Castillo.\u00a0 Leonard graduated from Trinidad High School in 1973; and in that same year, he married\u00a0his Sweetheart Sally Ossola.\u00a0 Leonard and Sally had four children, Shay Lynn, Leonora, Chris, and Leonard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leonard worked for M&amp;M Distributing as a truck driver for over 25 years.\u00a0 He also drove for Key Energy, Sam Sisneros Operations, and Felix Chavez &amp; Son Construction. He loved driving semi-trucks using the CB handles, Orange Sunshine and Bluebird. He was a great mechanic, never minding getting his hands dirty working on trucks and cars.\u00a0 During his retirement, he was always getting caught sleeping in his favorite recliner with his dog, Pepe, saying he was watching TV with his eyes closed.\u00a0 Leonard had the greatest sense of humor.\u00a0 Anyone who knew him will always remember how he liked to tease, and all of his Facebook friends are really going to miss his inspirational and thoughtful posts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leonard is preceded in death by his father, Joe Castillo, his sister, Hazel Ann, mother and father-in-law, Louie and Selina Ossola, sisters-in-law, Irene Romo and Janet Sanchez, brother-in-law, Floyd Duran, and nephew, Gene J. Castillo.\u00a0 He will be deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Sally Castillo; children, Shay Lynn (Ernie) Whatley, Leonora (Adam) Garcia, Chris Garcia and Leonard Castillo; mother, Christella Castillo; brothers, Gene (Louise) Castillo, Joe (Joann) Castillo; sisters, Beverly Castillo and Lorraine Duran; brothers-in-law, Louis (Connie) Ossola, Robert Ossola, and Michael (Sue) Ossola; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Jim) Padilla, Frances (Waldo) Muniz, Linda Colangelo, Lucille Ossola and Loretta (Allen) Medina; grandchildren, Dylan (Jeanice) Richardson, Julia, and Jason Salazar, Aislinn Castillo, Alianna Garcia, Destani, DeNajah and Vince Jr. Garcia, and Gavin Vigil; his puppies, Pepe and Buddy along with numerous nephews and nieces and extended family and friends.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Viewing will be\u00a0Wednesday, January 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel.
