Loving Memory of Arthur Frank Martinez Jr."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Arthur Frank Martinez Jr. died at the ripe age as he would say of 70 years old.\u00a0 He resided in Raton, NM.\u00a0 Arthur departed from this earth, August 18, 2020.\u00a0 He was born September 9, 1949, to Arthur Frank Martinez Sr., and Dora Martinez Trujillo.\u00a0 He was the oldest of four siblings which included Michael Martinez of Albuquerque NM, Sheila Tafoya, and Joseph Martinez both of Raton, NM.<\/p>\n<p>Arthur said that the best time to be in California was the 60\u2019s, which he ventured with his first wife Patsy Guzman.<\/p>\n<p>On July 3, 1984, he went on and married Margaret Martinez who stayed by his side for 36 years.\u00a0 She would call him her partner.\u00a0 He loved taking her everywhere, yard sales, thrift stores, and anywhere she needed to go. \u00a0Through sickness and in health they were there for each other a one of a kind love.\u00a0 Best friends, morning coffee and movie marathons, the simplest things but everything to one another, He loved her so deeply, an inseparable pair.<\/p>\n<p>Arthur was proud to say he was a jack of all trades, a master of none.\u00a0 He spent most of his years at United Chevy.\u00a0 He enjoyed the friends, memories, and jokes he gained there. \u00a0He loved to dance read and giving people a hard time. \u00a0He loved to build, paint and he had a way of making something that had been disregarded and tossed aside into something beautiful,\u00a0 He was fascinated with all things unusual, murder mysteries, sci-fi, ghosts, and a firm believer of miracles.<\/p>\n<p>If you knew Arthur, he left you with a smile, a ghost story, and one heck of an impression.\u00a0 Arthur loved how large his family had gotten.\u00a0 His children include Michelle Martinez\/Velasquez of Oklahoma City, OK., April Martinez and fianc\u00e9 Jordan Sanchez of Raton, NM., Arthur Frank Martinez III,\u00a0 and partner Casey Grubelnik of Raton, NM., Anthony Ray Martinez and wife Claribel Martinez of Titusville, Florida, JohnPaul Martinez of Pueblo, CO., and Beatrice Cruz of Killeen, TX.<\/p>\n<p>He enjoyed all of his grandchildren: Anguelica Velasquez and wife Eunice Velasquez , Ignacio Velasquez and wife Jessika Velasquez, Alberto Velasquez, Brenda Velasquez all of Oklahoma City, OK., Shelby Lynn Moore, Travis Lee Moore, Haley Grace Moore and soon to be Ella Jo Sanchez all of Raton, NM., Martin and wife Kylie Martinez of Fort Collins, CO., Amber Martinez of Fountain, CO, Rachel Martinez, Kevin and wife Christina Crus of Temple, TX., John Cruz, of Austin, TX., Jeanette Cruz of Killeen, TX.<\/p>\n<p>His great-grandchildren are Viktorious, Uriahn, Jessalynn Velasquez of Oklahoma City, OK., Luke Cruz of Temple, TX.<\/p>\n<p>Arthur enjoyed his extended family, his sisters-in-law Judy Ortiz and Elena Ortiz\/Chavez.\u00a0 He had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews, he loved the company of his friends.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if there were any words he wanted to leave his children\/grandchildren he said this \u201cI love you all, take care, be careful, always be good, that\u2019s all I could say, stay out of trouble, work hard and say your prayers\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Arthur may be gone but his imprint will always be in our hearts, he was truly one of a kind.<\/p>\n<p>Services for Arthur Frank Martinez Jr. will be held at St. Patricks St. Josephs&#8217;s Church on Friday, September 4th at 10:30 a.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arthur Frank Martinez Jr. died at
