Roderick Lujan of Las Vegas caught a 20-3\/8-inch rainbow trout. We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Conchas Lake:\u00a0<\/b>Fishing was slow to fair using slab spoons and jigs tipped with small plastic for walleye and white bass. We had no other reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Cowles Ponds:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Coyote Creek:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Eagle Rock Lake:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Eagle Nest Lake:<\/b>\u00a0As of this past Friday, ice thickness was about 13 inches. Fishing was fair using meal worms, earth worms, PowerBait and ice jigs for rainbow trout, kokanee and perch. Anglers having the best luck were working the baits rather than letting them sit. The annual Fish Fest will begin Labor Day weekend this year and run from Sept. 2-10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Gallinas River:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Hopewell Lake:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Lake Alice:\u00a0<\/b>As of Friday, February 3, the lake has reopened for ice fishing but we had no reports from anglers. For updates on ice conditions, call the state park office at (505) 445-5607.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Lake Maloya:\u00a0<\/b>As of this past Friday, the ice thickness was about 11 inches. Fishing was good using PowerBait and homemade dough bait for trout. For updates on ice conditions, call the state park office at (505) 445-5607.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Los Pinos River:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Monastery Lake:\u00a0<\/b>Anglers are reminded that ice fishing is not permitted on this lake.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Pecos River:<\/b>\u00a0Fishing was fair to good using salmon eggs, worms, egg patterns and small bright colored nymphs for trout.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Red River:<\/b>\u00a0Stream flow below the hatchery on Monday was 43 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using egg patterns, wooly buggers, San Juan worms, PowerBait and salmon eggs for rainbow trout.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Rio Grande:\u00a0<\/b>Stream flow on Monday at the Taos Junction Bridge was 519 cfs. Fishing was slow to fair using weighted wooly buggers and worms for trout. We had no other reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Rio Hondo:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Rio Pueblo:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Santa Barbara River:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Santa Cruz Reservoir:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week. No ice fishing is allowed on this lake.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Shuree Ponds:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Springer Lake:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week. Ice fishing is not permitted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Storrie Lake:<\/b>\u00a0Fishing was fair to good using worms and PowerBait for trout. We had no other reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Ute Lake:\u00a0<\/b>Fishing for walleye and white bass appeared to have slowed some from the previous week. A few were still caught by anglers jigging spoons and soft plastics in 50 to 60 feet of water. We had no other reports. The surface water temp was in the low to mid 40s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Winsor Creek:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<h2 align=\"left\"><b>Northwest<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Abiquiu Lake:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Animas River:\u00a0<\/b>Water flow near Aztec on Monday morning was 266 cfs. Fishing was fair using woolly buggers, streamers, small jigs, worms and salmon eggs for trout.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Albuquerque Area Drains:\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0Fishing on the Albuquerque Drain, Belen Drain, Bernalillo and Peralta Drain was good using wax worms, salmon eggs, worms, egg patterns and small streamers for trout. We had no other reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Bluewater Lake:<\/b>\u00a0Closed to ice fishing due to thin ice conditions. There was still some open water for shoreline fishing this past week but we had no reports from anglers. For updates on ice conditions, contact the state park office at (505) 876-2391.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Brazos River:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Canjilon Lakes:\u00a0<\/b>Closed by the U.S. Forest Service until further notice due to danger from falling trees.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Chama River:<\/b>\u00a0Monday morning water flows below El Vado and Abiquiu were 104 cfs and 79 cfs respectively. Fishing below El Vado was fair using small nymphs and salmon eggs for a mix of brown and rainbow trout. Fishing below Abiquiu was fair using micro mays, zebra midges and salmon eggs for trout.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Cochiti Lake:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>El Vado<\/b>\u00a0<b>Lake:<\/b>\u00a0Closed to ice fishing and all other activities due to thin ice conditions. Fishing on the Jemez was fair to good using wax worms, small bead-head nymphs and salmon eggs for trout. We had no reports from other streams in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Lake Farmington:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Manzano Lake:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Navajo Lake:<\/b>\u00a0Fishing was slow but a few brown trout were caught by anglers trolling Rapalas. We had no other reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>San Gregorio Lake:<\/b>\u00a0We had no reports from anglers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>San Juan River:<\/b>\u00a0Stream flow from Navajo Reservoir on Monday was 506 cfs. Trout fishing through the Quality waters was fair to good using small streamers, Desert Storms, red larva, white bunny leeches, egg patterns and princess nymphs. Fishing through the bait waters was fair using salmon eggs, PowerBait, copper John Barrs and jerk baits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Tingley Beach:<\/b>\u00a0Fishing at the Central and Youth ponds was good using PowerBait, Zeke\u2019s trout bait, homemade dough bait, garlic cheese, wax worms, salmon eggs and San Juan worms for trout. Fishing at the Bob Gerding Catch and Release Pond was fair using bunny leeches and small streamers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Trout Lakes:\u00a0<\/b>We had no reports from anglers this week.<\/p>\n<h2 align=\"left\">Southwest<\/h2>\n<h1 align=\"left\"><\/h1>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\"><b>Alumni Pond:\u00a0<\/b>Fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout.
