{"id":31869,"date":"2016-12-29T06:14:38","date_gmt":"2016-12-29T13:14:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/krtnradio.com\/?p=31869"},"modified":"2016-12-29T06:14:38","modified_gmt":"2016-12-29T13:14:38","slug":"farmington-conservation-officers-recognized-for-service-at-navajo-lake-state-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/krtnradio.com\/wp\/2016\/12\/29\/farmington-conservation-officers-recognized-for-service-at-navajo-lake-state-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Farmington conservation officers recognized for service at Navajo Lake State Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">SANTA FE \u2013 New Mexico Department of Game and Fish conservation officers from the Farmington district received recognition for their assistance at Navajo Lake State Park last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">Conservation officers conducted joint patrols with state park rangers in search of alcohol impaired boaters, checked angler licenses and commercial guide equipment and assisted with crowd control throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">\u201cTheir support went above and beyond what was expected and contributed to the overall success of Navajo Lake State Park last year,\u201d said Christopher Smith, superintendent of Navajo Lake State Park.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Sgt. Matt Anthony said the department\u2019s five Farmington district officers spend a lot of time conducting law enforcement and public outreach efforts at the park, home of the San Juan River and a very popular boating and fishing destination.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">\u201cWe\u2019re honored to have been recognized,\u201d Anthony said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gd_p\" align=\"left\">Other agencies recognized for their assistance to the park last year included the local State Police, San Juan County Fire Department and the federal Bureau of Land Management.
