{"id":27205,"date":"2016-05-04T14:19:59","date_gmt":"2016-05-04T20:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/krtnradio.com\/?p=27205"},"modified":"2016-05-04T14:19:59","modified_gmt":"2016-05-04T20:19:59","slug":"rhs-tennis-results-in-four-players-going-to-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/krtnradio.com\/wp\/2016\/05\/04\/rhs-tennis-results-in-four-players-going-to-state\/","title":{"rendered":"RHS Tennis Results in Four Players Going to State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Special to KRTN Multi-Media<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The official 4A District 2 tournament results. \u00a0On April 29-30 Tiger Tennis teams traveled to Las Vegas to battle Robertson, Taos, &amp; West Las Vegas to try and earn a berth in the State Playoffs in Albuquerque.\u00a0 Powerhouse Robertson Cardinals continue to dominate class 4A as prohibitive state championship favorites so the battle was for 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0and which team would get a possible \u00a0at large birth to the State tournament.\u00a0 The results were as follows.<\/p>\n<p>Team Play:<\/p>\n<p>Robertson Cardinals\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Champions\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0seed at State<\/p>\n<p>Raton Tigers \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0seed at State will face St. Michaels<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With team results decided the action moved to individual Singles and individual doubles tournament action and who would be crowned as individual district champions.\u00a0 Both had some very exciting matches as in individual singles play Raton Tigers Autumn Archuleta brought home the Championship medal for the Raton Tigers \u00a0and earned a 6 seed at the State tournament.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After a relatively easy opening match in which Autumn beat WLV 6-0, 6-1 she moved on into the semi\u2019s to face Taos\u2019 C. Dimond.\u00a0 After dropping the 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0set to Dimond 6-7 Autumn rallied to come back and win the 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0set 7-6, and 3rd set 6-4 to make it into the finals where she met up with Robertson\u2019s Marrujo.\u00a0 Similar to the semi\u2019s Autumn lost the 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0set 6-7 only to come back and take set 2 &amp;
