{"id":23487,"date":"2015-12-15T15:24:55","date_gmt":"2015-12-15T22:24:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/krtnradio.com\/?p=23487"},"modified":"2015-12-15T15:24:55","modified_gmt":"2015-12-15T22:24:55","slug":"two-young-children-drown-in-weston-pond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/krtnradio.com\/wp\/2015\/12\/15\/two-young-children-drown-in-weston-pond\/","title":{"rendered":"Two young children drown in Weston pond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sheriffs Department still\u00a0<br \/>investigating<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/krtnradio.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/WJ-250x55.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-15376\" src=\"http:\/\/krtnradio.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/WJ-250x55.png\" alt=\"WJ  250x55\" width=\"250\" height=\"53\" \/><\/a>WESTON \u2014 On December 4 at approximately 3:30 pm, the Las Animas County Sheriff\u2019s Department Office received a call from the Trinidad Communications Center of reports that two children had fallen through ice on a pond that was located on the Robinson Sawmill property off of County Road 31.9 in Weston, Colorado.<br \/> Deputies responded to the location and arrived at 3:48 pm. \u00a0Upon arrival, Deputies assisted the Trinidad Ambulance District personnel who had arrived prior and had removed the two young boys, approximate ages of six and nine, from the water and were performing rescue efforts on both. \u00a0The children were then transported from the scene to Mt.
