Pioneer Natural Resources presents KRTN\u2019s Super Star of Business for September: \u00a0Bruno’s Pizza and Wings.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Co-owner of Bruno’s Pizza and Wings<\/strong>, <\/strong>Mandy Hess,\u00a0was our guest at KRTN on September 3, 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n

Located at 244 South First\u00a0Street in downtown Raton, Bruno’s Pizza and Wings<\/strong> serves up\u00a0some of the best homemade pizza, chicken wings and salads\u00a0in the area. Customers are already claiming their favorites: \u00a0The New Mexican Pizza, Green Chile Chicken Pizza, Cranberry Chipotle Wings and Spinach Salad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Owners Aaron Ley and Mandy Hess took some time to decide and start their own business in Raton. Mandy has been a part-time social worker, a counselor and a busy mom to her young children. Her partner, Aaron Ley, always made pizzas at home and “is really good at it.” Aaron had been\u00a0working in the oilfield business in North Dakota, but is now with their family on a daily basis. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Aaron and Mandy opened Bruno’s Pizza and Wings <\/strong>in July 2015 with about 20 employees. KRTN’s Billy D noted, “You have an even bigger family now!” Billy D added, “It’s not easy to own your own business. But eating is great therapy. We all need to eat and break bread… And this is America! I’m loving this!”<\/span><\/p>\n

The symbol of a bear (bruin, “Bruno”) makes a lot of sense for the town and tourists of Raton! Bruno’s<\/strong>\u00a0displays a\u00a0sports\u00a0motif that is a welcomed addition\u00a0to Historic First Street. Large-screen TVs showing\u00a0sporting events can entertain guests while they anticipate their main course.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Convenient\u00a0options\u00a0for customers\u00a0include Call-In\/Take-Out Service (anytime) and Pizza-By-The-Slice (during lunch). Guests will appreciate that\u00a0Bruno’s Pizza and Wings<\/strong>\u00a0is open six days per week; they are only closed on Tuesdays.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"brunos<\/a>Aaron Ley prepares homemade pizza dough everyday and assures the quality and taste of each pizza that leaves\u00a0Bruno’s<\/strong> busy kitchen. Mandy Hess told Billy D that Bruno’s <\/strong>“adds a depth of flavor to each pizza with a dusting of the House Cheese Blend of Asiago, Provolone and Romano cheeses.” As KRTN Sales Manager, Alan Kenny, commented, “One cannot function without cheese!”\u00a0<\/span>Bruno’s <\/strong>offers\u00a0twelve different\u00a0<\/strong>pizzas in 12″ and 16″ sizes and encourages customers to “Create Your Own.”\u00a0Bruno’s\u00a0<\/strong>can even prepare gluten-free pizzas as needed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bruno’s<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>brings Buffalo Chicken Wings and eight more flavors of tasty wings to Northeastern New Mexico. Customers can order baskets of ten (10) wings at a very reasonable price. Four different salads (in two sizes) are prepared to order and are a delicious beginning to your meal.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0official ribbon-cutting ceremony for\u00a0Bruno’s Pizza and Wings<\/strong>\u00a0was on Labor Day, September 7, 2015. KRTN welcomes Aaron, Mandy, their children and their “new family” of employees\u00a0as September’s Super Stars of Business!<\/span><\/p>\n
