The\u00a0New Mexico State 4\u2011H Shooting Sports Championships<\/strong>\u00a0is the culminating state\u2011level event for 4\u2011H Shooting Sports members across New Mexico. Hosted by the Whittington Center, this annual competition celebrates youth development, firearm safety, responsible marksmanship, and sportsmanship. Over four days, participants ages [typically 9\u201318 enrolled in 4\u2011H Shooting Sports] (standard 4\u2011H structure) compete across multiple shooting disciplines including rifle, pistol, shotgun, archery (both recurve and compound), hunting skills, and muzzleloader contests.<\/p>\n

The event draws 4\u2011H\u2019ers from counties statewide, offering them a competitive yet educational environment where they can demonstrate skill, follow competition rules, and earn awards. In addition to the competitions, the schedule traditionally features evening social gatherings such as a dance and concludes with an awards ceremony to recognize individual and team achievements.\u00a0Competitors and families are encouraged to review event rules, range assignments, and safety guidelines ahead of arrival. On\u2011site lodging and accommodations are available through the Whittington Center.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
