DESCRIPTION:Join the staff at Sugarite Canyon State Park for their Memorial Day Weekend events.\n\nFriday\, May 22nd\, 7 pm: Summer Safety at Soda Pocket Amphitheater. Join a park ranger to learn about safety precautions to enjoy the most of summer. \nSaturday\, May 23rd: 9 am Coffee with a Ranger at Lake Alice Campground. Join a park ranger for coffee\, hot chocolate and donuts while learning a little summer safety.2 pm Hike at Deer Run Trail meets at Lake Alice Campground. Guided 1.5 hour nature hike. Bring hat\, sunscreen\, hiking shoes\, binoculars and water.  \nSunday\, May 24th: 11 am On the Boardwalk:  New Mexico Legends at Park Visitor Center. Walk the boardwalk to see the local birds and hear tales of New Mexico legends.  \nMemorial Day\, Monday\, May 25th:  9 am Coal Camp Tour at Park Visitor Center.
