DESCRIPTION:The 2016 Country Showdown Semi-Finals return to Raton on Saturday\, October 15th at the Historic Shuler Theater. The winning performer from this night’s competition will go to Nashville\, Tennessee in January 2017 to compete for $100\,000 in the 35th Annual Country Showdown at the Historic Ryman Theater. Doors open at 6 pm; showtime is 6:30 pm. Free admission – no ticket required. Colfax Reunion will be the house band.\n  \n\n\nTwo national winners have been the talented performers selected here in Raton at the Semi-Finals Competition. Crystal Yates (October 2013) and The Brothers Roberson (October 2014) competed at the Shuler Theater\, then went on to win $100\,000 at the National Competitions in Nashville. \nThe staff at KRTN 93.9 FM is honored to support and promote the Country Showdown events\, performers and their music throughout the year.
