DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Sci-Fi Club of Raton hosts a benefit Double Feature Night on Saturday\, September 12th to help with repairs at El Raton Movie Theater. Blade Runner (Director’s Cut) will be shown at 7 pm followed by Evolution at 10 pm. Free! Donations appreciated for El Raton Theater.  \n  \nBlade Runner is a 1982 dark\, philosophical sci-fi drama directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford\, Rutger Hauer\, Sean Young and Edward James Olmos. The film depicts Los Angeles in November 2019\, in which genetically engineered replicants are visually indistinguishable from adult humans. The “Director’s Cut” is from 1992. Rated R (older teens & adults) \nEvolution is a 2001 American science fiction comedy film starring David Duchovny and Julianne Moore. The comedy follows the chaos that ensues when a meteor hits the Earth carrying alien life forms. Rated PG-13 for crude and sexual humor. \n  \n
