DESCRIPTION:FREE FAMILY EVENT! Please come out and join the Colfax County Young Marines at their drug demand reduction 5K Dash\, in celebration of Red Ribbon Week. This is a FREE and FUN community event for all! You can walk\, jog\, run or just do a few laps. Wear red and sign the pledge to live a healthy\, drug free life. Please bring your own water. Door prize giveaways will be given at random throughout the event. \nThe Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation\, reaching millions of young people. Red Ribbon week is celebrated October 23-31\, 2019. The Red Ribbon campaign started after drug traffickers in Mexico City murdered DEA agent Kiki Camarena in 1985. This began the continuing tradition of displaying Red Ribbons as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs. The campaign goal is to have the community unite and take a visible stand against drugs.
