DESCRIPTION:Monday\, January 6th to Wednesday\, January 29th \nThis is a four week overview of basic ceramic technique. The class meets twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8 pm. \n* Week One: Hand-building instruction with pinch pots\, coil construction and introduction to the Slab roller.\n*Week Two: Slab building and Intro to Throwing on the Wheel.\n*Week Three: Throwing cups\, bowls\,and cylinders with lids. Intro to glazing\, carving and texture.\n*Week Four: Glazing and surface decoration. Finishing touches and party. \nI have taught pottery for over seven years with Trinidad Arts Council. I am happy to be back working with the folks at the A. R. Mitchell to bring you a basic overview of the pottery and sculpture techniques I have to share. \nThe cost is $200 for this four week course meeting twice a week.\nClay will be available to purchase from the Mitchell and some tools will be provided.
