DESCRIPTION:The Pinewood Derby celebrated its 65th anniversary in 2018. It all started when a father named Don Murphy who was the Cub master in Manhattan Beach\, California. His son wanted to participate in the Soap Box Derby\, but he was too young. So Mr. Murphy took his life-long hobby of building models and combined that with the Soap Box Derby’s concept of gravity-powered vehicles. And the Pinewood Derby was created. To date over 50 millions boys have participated in his creative idea. What a legacy and great activity! \nThe Pinewood Derby Tryouts will be January 12th at 6 PM at the Sister Hildegarde Parish Hall. The Pinewood Derby Race will be on Sunday\, January 13th at 6:30 PM at the Sister Hildegarde Parish Hall
