DESCRIPTION:You asked for it… and we listened. It’s back! \nNoah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association’s Peacock Ball will celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the inception NAAWA on the night of September 22nd\, at the Sebastiani Gym. The Peacock Ball has been the signature fundraiser for Noah’s Ark and once again\, is hoping to exceed expectations with: \nSilent Auction Items\nLive Dessert Auction\nShabby to Fabby Auction Items\nPuppy Parade\nNew Shelter Wish-Board\nDinner by Ringo’s Catering\nMusic by DJae Spacely\nCash Bar\nAnd MORE! \nProceeds of this formal event will benefit NAAWA and the construction of a new animal shelter. Action items include artwork\, antiques\, services from local businesses\, and hand-crafted jewelry. A “Shabby-to-Fabby” section will feature one-of-a-kind re-purposed items made by local artisans. The highlight of the night’s offerings will be the “New Shelter Wish-Board” where patrons will have an early opportunity to sponsor a shelter room or kennel; each sponsorship will include a plaque in their honor at the new shelter. Memorial bricks and paw-shaped plaques will also be available at varying levels to commemorate donations. \nAbout the new shelter: NAAWA is collaborating with the City of Trinidad\, our community\, and animal lovers from everywhere to finally transform the dream of a modern animal shelter into reality… a home at last! The new 6\,500 sq. ft building will be located next to the power plant building on East Main Street; proving the space needed to properly house\, provide care to\, and help find homes for the 1\,900 homeless pets we serve on average each year. Additionally\, the facility will be a space for community; providing space for a low-cost public pet clinic and a classroom for learning about proper animal care. The estimated completion date is the Fall 2019; funds are needed to help “Raise the Woof” of this essential community facility. \nDoors open at 5:30 pm | Dinner served at 6:30 pm\nFormal Attire | Must be 18 years to attend | Tickets available by pre-sale only – buy them at our Noah’s Ark Thrift Store. \nFor those wishing to support Noah’s Ark by attending the Peacock Ball\, tickets may be purchased at the Noah’s Ark Thrift Store\, 147 E Main St\, or by calling 719-846-8578.
