DESCRIPTION:Our Leaders of the Future program is designed for High School Sophomores\, Juniors and Seniors to help prepare them for the road ahead. knowledgeable Guest Speakers will present valuable information to the students at each class.  This year Mt Carmel Wellness and Community Center will choose two senior students based on their scholarship application and essay\, that will receive a $1000 scholarship each. Perfect attendance is also required to qualify for scholarship. \n\nOct 18 – Team-building: Build cohesiveness among the group and help develop problem solving skills.\nNov 15 – Trinidad Past\, Present & Future Finance Day: Understand where Trinidad has been while obtaining an over view of our economy and business resources.\nDec 6 – Education Day: Understand the relationship between business and education and how it will affect you later in life.\nJan 17 – Local Government & Judicial Day: Understand the function and mission of the Las Animas County Government/Justice System\nFeb 21 – Media Day/Cyber Security Day: Understand how the internet and social media can be used for the good and bad.\nMarch 6- College Prep Day: Understand how to fill out applications for financial aid\, scholarships\, and learn how to create a resume for future job applications.\nApril 17 – Mind and Body Wellness Day: Understand how living a healthy life style will help you deal with the stresses of life.\nMay 1 – Field Trip ( All Day)\nMay 8 – Graduation: Students will plan their own graduation party.\n\nTHIS YEAR WE ARE OFFERING TWO $1000 SCHOLARSHIPS!
