It was the first Dr. Seuss book to be adapted into a full-length feature film. \nThe film was produced by Howard and Brian Grazer\, and starring Jim Carrey\, Jeffrey Tambor\, Christine Baranski\, Bill Irwin\, Molly Shannon. \nThe Grinch spent 4 weeks as the No. 1 film in the United States. The Grinch is the 2nd highest-grossing holiday film of all time (with Home Alone being the first). It won the Academy Award for Best Makeup\, and was also nominated for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design. \n\nAlternatives to Violence\, Inc. is dedicated to the prevention\, intervention and treatment of all forms of violence and advocates for freedom from violence for all individuals.
