DESCRIPTION:Bundle up and spend Saturday\, December 17th at Sugarite Canyon State Park to enjoy Chicorica Creek by the light of 1\,500 beautiful luminarias. Munch on cookies\, whisper in Santa’s ear\, stroll to holiday tunes\, and enjoy the night sky through the park telescope. The event will run 5:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.  There is no fee for this event\, but a $5 state park admission pass is required for entry into the park.\n\nVolunteers are needed to assemble luminarias the morning of the event.  For more information or to volunteer\, please call 575-445-5607.
