SUMMARY:2nd Annual Toy Land Character Contest: Sponsored by Raton Lions Club
DESCRIPTION:The Raton Lions Club is having their second annual Toy Land Character Contest. We invite contestants to use their talent to create new characters that will be displayed on Apache Avenue on the way to City of Bethlehem. \nEveryone is welcome to participate in this contest\, individuals\, groups\, businesses\, clubs\, etc. \nIllustration by Jim Mullings for Mike Pappas’ book RATON History Mystery and More. “Driving up Toyland”\nFirst place – $150\nSecond Place – $100\nThird Place – $75\nFourth Place – $50 \nJudging of the characters will be on November 17 at 1pm at Climax Canyon. All characters made and donated will be accepted and displayed every year during the Christmas holiday. We ask that you put your name and date on the back of the character. \nPlease call 575-447-1242 if you have any questions and to register your name and character. During registration\, we will advise if the character you have chosen to make is available. This will eliminate duplication of characters. \nThank you!!
