II. Roll Call and Determination of Quorum.

 

III. Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag.

 

IV. Items from Citizens’ Present.

 

V. Deliberate and Act on the request from Jaden Welch, 1100 North Third Street, for a variance reducing the lot area in an R-5 Zone from 12,000 sq. ft. to 8400 sq. ft. to allow for the construction of a two-family dwelling. This parcel will be subdivided if this variance is approved. This action was postponed from the last meeting.

 

VI. Deliberate and Act on the request from J&D Home Services, 421 North 4th Street, for a Variance reducing the required lot width from 60 feet to 50 feet to place a home on this lot.

 

VII. Deliberate and Act on the request from Travelodge 1600 Cedar Street, Zoned C-3, for a Special Exception to convert the Hotel into a Multi-Purpose Lodging Facility, Transient Lodging, Short-term rentals, and Apartments

 

VIII. Deliberate and Act on the request from Joel and Rhonda Gilbert to Rezone the property 1132 Plum Street UPC 1135185110150 from R-1 to L-1. This action was postponed from the last meeting.

 

 

 

IX. Deliberate and Act on the request from Willow Springs Real Estate and Land CO. LLC to consolidate a six-parcel lot into one contiguous parcel, vacating all easements on the parcel. This is in the ETZ.

 I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above notice of a meeting of the P&Z Board of the City of Raton, New Mexico, is a true and correct copy of the said notice and that a said copy of this notice was then posted in a cabinet outside of the City Hall of said City in Raton, New Mexico in a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice was posted on Friday January 9th, 2026 by 5 p.m. and remained so posted continuously at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting. Also, KRTN Radio Station and the City of Raton Website will post the agenda before the designated time limits for regular and special meetings.
