Raton’s Business Task Force Committee will be hosting its 2nd annual Community Cleanup May 31st. Last year they received a high turn out with much trash and debris taken away. This year they are hopeful to have many adults and youth once again donate their time. Volunteers would meet at Ripley Park 9 am for a safety Briefing and begin splitting off into groups around the town to clean up trash until noon. Volunteers are asked to wear jeans, close toed shoes, bright colored tops, and bring a 5 gallon bucket if available. Trash bags, gloves, and a limited number of pickers will be provided. Waivers will need to be signed and turned in no later than at the safety briefing so if you are interested in helping give Raton a spring clean, please reach out to Alisha Grubelnik by phone at 575-447-0123 or by email at alisha@rngcompany.com.
