Raton High School Students Representing The Hugh O’Brien Youth’s (HOBY) Flagship Program

Raton High School is pleased to announce that Tracy Hall, K’Myiah Romero, and Carisa Trujillo will be representing RHS at the 2026 Colorado HOBY Leadership Seminar that will be held in Denver, Colorado on the University of Denver Campus.

The Hugh O’Brien Youth’s (HOBY) flagship program, the State Leadership Seminar is designed to help high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community. The seminar curriculum is based on the Social Change Model of Leadership and develops leadership from three perspectives: Personal Leadership, Group Leadership, and Leadership for Society.

Tracy, K’Myiah, and Carisa will attend a three-day seminar and participate in hands-on leadership activities, meet other youth leaders, and explore their own personal leadership skills while learning how to lead others and make a positive impact in their community.

Raton High School would also like to extend a HUGE thank you to the Raton #865 Elks Lodge for paying the registration fees. The Raton Elks Lodge does so much for the youth activities in Raton.

L to R:              Tracy Hall, son of Leah Herrera and Tracy Hall

Carisa Trujillo, daughter of Janet Valdez and Jeremy Trujillo

K’Myiah Romero, daughter of Chantelle Romero

Congratulations to all!
