Robert Brian Hernandez
December 3, 1973 – February 27, 2026
Robert Brian Hernandez went home to Jesus on February 27, 2026, at the age of 52. Born on December 3, 1973, Robert was a hardworking, loyal, and caring man whose life revolved around the people he loved most — his family.
Robert was known for always putting his family first, no matter the circumstances. He was a devoted father, son, brother, husband, and grandfather who took great pride in caring for and supporting those around him. He was the kind of man who would show up whenever someone needed help, often putting others before himself without hesitation.
Robert had a personality that naturally drew people in. He had a way of lighting up any room he walked into, making people laugh, and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His kindness, humor, and willingness to help others made him not only a beloved family member but also a cherished friend to many. He also loved cheering on the Denver Broncos and was known by many as “Superman” to his family for the strength and love he showed to those around him.
He is survived by his sons, Bobby (Robert) Hernandez Jr. and Jared Hernandez; his daughters, Kayla Hernandez and Summer Hernandez; his wife Katie; his mother, Faith; his brothers, Brandon and Mario; his sisters, Nicky and Melissa; and his beloved grandchildren, Remi and Jared Jr. Robert also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends who loved him dearly and will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Robert’s legacy will live on through the laughter he shared, the love he gave so freely, and the countless lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on March 27, 2026, at Trinity Bible Baptist Church in Trinidad, Colorado. A celebration of life and reception will follow at The Commons Space, 218 W Main St., Trinidad, CO 81082.
The National Guard will be present to honor Robert’s service.
The reception will be a potluck, and those who would like to contribute are welcome to reach out to Bobby Hernandez Jr. (719-680-8911), Jared Hernandez (719-680-8801), or Faith Hernandez (719-680-9475) to coordinate what they would like to bring and assist with preparation the day of or the day before the services.
In honoring Robert’s life, family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, laughter, and memories — just as he would have wanted.
