Christopher John Martinez, age 50, died on Saturday January 3, 2025, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Christopher Martinez was born on December 27, 1975, in Clayton, New Mexico to Ruben Martinez and Elsie Isabel (Cruz) Martinez. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1994 and worked for Tyson Industries in Amarillo until his retirement. His family and friends were very important to him and his children were always the most important. Christopher loved music very much and loved to tell jokes which he was very good at. He loved to watch the 49ers and the Yankees. Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Isabel (Cruz) Martinez and by his maternal grandparents, Santiago Cruz and Mercedes Cruz, and paternal grandparents, Abelino and Feloniz (Vigil) Martinez.

CHILDREN: Sirena Martinez, Isabel Martinez and Christopher Martinez all of Clayton, New Mexico.
FATHER: Ruben Martinez of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 SISTER: Corina Vandeberg and Kenneth of Clayton, New Mexico.
2 BROTHERS: Clifford Martinez and Janelle of Clayton, New Mexico and Casey Martinez of Amarillo, Texas.
NIECES & NEPHEWS: Mark Anthony, Dylan, Brandon, Tim Sandoval, Kendra Lopez (Travis), Heather Sinclair (Trey), Brittany Rivera (Jake) and Cynthia Lujan (B.J.)
