Carolyn Redolfi, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully the night of December 20, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Carolyn was born on March 15, 1934, in Sopris, Colorado. She came into this world with her mother, Anna Menapace Bacca, and grandmother, Caroline Menapace.
Carolyn grew up in Dawson, New Mexico. In 1950, when Dawson closed, her family moved to Raton where she graduated from Raton High School. She married Bruno Ridolfi in 1954, and they bought a house on North Third Street a few years later. She spent most of her life in Raton and lived in the house on North Third Street for 63 years.
Carolyn’s husband, Bruno Redolfi, passed away in 1996, and during the past 27 years she continued loving him and treasuring their life together. She is survived by her son (Bruno Angelo Ridolfi) and his wife, Callie Ridolfi, her daughter Cheryl Ann Redolfi and her husband, Rick Brovaney. She has two grandchildren, Adria Ridolfi and Angelo Ridolfi, and two great grandchildren, Liliana Ridolfi and Luca Ridolfi.
Carolyn worked in professional positions most of her adult life. She began as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell in Raton. She served as Colfax County Clerk and worked in the Clerk’s office for several years. She was a legal secretary for the law firm Robertson, Robertson, & Blair, and a dental practice administrator for Dr. C.J. Buttram.
Carolyn wants to be remembered for her love of dogs and her various hobbies which include reading, gardening, needle work, computer games, and baking.
Flowers are welcome, but donations to the Raton Humane Society are preferred.
At Carolyn’s request her funeral service be at the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home in Raton, with EJ Johnson officiating. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, and the graveside service will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
