It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Wayne King on December 9, 2025 at the family home. Wayne was born April 26, 1964 on Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM to Curtis King,Sr and Greta King, who both preceded him in death. He attended school in Albuquerque and Des Moines High school and graduated in 1982.
Wayne married Stephanie Owensby on May 25, 1991. Together, they raised two sons, Austen and Mason. Wayne loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, shooting and UFC. But what he enjoyed the most was spending time with his boys. They would laugh and laugh some more and he much enjoyed cooking with them. He looked forward to spending as much time as possible with them and with Granddaughter Leah Summer. All of them were his pride and joy and forever will be. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Survivors include wife of 34 years Stephanie of the family home; sons Austen(Mariel) and Leah Summer King of San Antonio, TX and Mason King of Albuquerque. Brothers Robert King (Anna) and Curtis King Jr. Sisters Patreesa King and Diana Alexander (George) and numerous nieces nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial will take place at a future date.
