In Loving Memory of Thomas Archuleta

Thomas Archuleta was born on June 29, 1951, in Springer, New Mexico, and entered the gates of Heaven on November 21, 2025. He was the son of Rebecca Gonzalez and Timoteo Archuleta, both of whom preceded him in death.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie Archuleta, and his children Michelle Archuleta, Christa Archuleta, and Sean Archuleta. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: David, Leila, Aiden, Annahlisia, Larissa, and Zayden Archuleta, all of whom were his pride and joy. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who held a very special place in his heart.

One of nine children, Thomas grew up in a large family. He is survived by his siblings Larry Archuleta (Tina Archuleta), Mary Ellen Archuleta (Henry Archuleta), and Mary Louise Archuleta (Juan Montoya). He was preceded in death by siblings Mary Ellen Archuleta, Judy Rivera, Sadie Archuleta, William Archuleta (Donna Archuleta), and Jerry Archuleta, as well as his niece Anna Marie Archuleta and nephew Stephen Trujillo.

From a young age, Thomas worked hard to support his family. His first job was at the CS Ranch, where he quickly earned his reputation for his dedication and strong work ethic, a trait that would follow him throughout his life. He later went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps for six years, achieving the rank of Sergeant. After his military service, he continued providing for his loved ones through work at the local sawmill, the Post Office, the Senior Citizen Center, and eventually the Eagle Nest Reintegration Center (ENRC), from which he retired in 2020.

A man of many simple joys and a big heart, Thomas enjoyed playing his guitar in his younger years, riding his Honda Shadow motorcycle, making trips to the casino, and—without fail—enjoying his cup of coffee anytime, anyplace. He also took great pride in writing his own autobiography, a project that meant a great deal to him, even if it was only written for his family.

He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, his generous nature, and his willingness to help anyone in need. To know Thomas was to love him, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held at the Sister Hildegarde Parish Hall in Cimarron, NM, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 05, 2025, preceded by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. a meal will follow. Thomas will be buried at the Angel Fire Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 08, 2025.
