It took the Lady Tigers (District 7-0) four games to do it Saturday afternoon November 1, 2025 as they bested the Lady Rattlers (District 4-3) from Tucumcari to stay atop the Class 2A District 6 ahead of the Santa Rosa Lady Lions who sit in second at 6-2.
The Lady Tigers C-Team took the floor first where Jaycee Jamison and team scored the first six points in game one of the match. Jamison had another long service streak in game three that helped the Lady Tigers wrap that one up. In game two Tucumcari’s Kyrie Marroquin and team served up five straight points for the win in that game.
The Tucumcari JV girls took their match in two games pulling out in front of Raton after tie scores at four and five then widening out the deficit by six before Raton battled back to within two 12-10. Tucumcari went on to pull out the 25-18 win. In game two Tucumcari pulled out and quickly widened the score finishing it off with a 12 point win.
The Varsity Lady Tigers took game one after keeping it close with tie scores up to five. After that Raton pulled out in front widening the score later in the game and finished it off with a 25-18 win.
In game two the score was tied as late as eight points on the board before Raton again with strong play at the net and several long volleys to take an eight point win.
Something went wrong in game three as Raton allowed Tucumcari to take the lead and but never could quite break the three point lead barrier finishing out the game 25-22.
The Lady Tigers took the early lead and allowed ties at two, three and four then pulling out by two. The play continued with lots of great plays with saves on the floor and blocks at the net and slams that fell on open floor for the point. When it was finished Raton pulled out an wight point win to remain undefeated in district play.
