G. A. “Buster” Poling, Jr., age 76, died on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Clayton Methodist Church, in Clayton, New Mexico. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

G. A. “Buster” Poling, Jr. was born on March 1, 1949, in Amarillo, Texas to George Allen Poling, Sr. And Marguerite Anne (Carter) Poling. He married Kay (Kirby) Poling on June 28, 1975, in Clayton, New Mexico, He graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in Ag Business, his life’s work was in banking and City Management. Buster was preceded in death by his parents.

SURVIVORS:

WIFE: Kay Poling of Lubbock, Texas.

2 CHILDREN: Tres Poling of Lubbock, Texas and Jamie Poling of Clayton, New Mexico.

4 GRANDCHILDREN: Ryder Wormsbaker, Gunner Wormsbaker, Broklyn Wormsbaker and Carter Poling.

2 SISTERS: Peggy Poling of Angel Fire, New Mexico and Judy Robertson and her husband Van of Clayton, New Mexico.

And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
