In Loving Memory of Dolores l. (Cordova) Baca

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dolores l. (Cordova) Baca,
who was called home to Heaven on September 25,2025. She was born on November 21, 1930,
to Tony and Geraldine Cordova. She had five siblings. Throughout her childhood and
adolescence, she lived in Model, Trinidad and Hoehne, CQ as well as a shorttime in California.
She was a proud graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic School. Class of 1948.
Dolores worked at various places throughout her life. She eventually worked at Trinidad State
Nursing Home in the accounting and administration departments where she retired from. She
was always a well-respected and dedicated employee who met many lifulong friends during her
career.
Dolores united in marriage to Orlando V. Baca on September 22,1949. Together they welcomed
their four children James, Theresa, Wayne and Mary Michelle, and raised them on the family
farm in Hoehne, CO. Working alongside her family, she tackled the daily f arm chores head on.
She was never afraid of hard work.
Dolores was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She
instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of faith, hard work and family values.
Sharing boundless love and wisdom with each of us, that left a lasting impact on our lives. She
shared a special bond and cherished moments with each of her children, granddaughters and
great-grandchildren.
Dolores loved to quilt, bake, cook, read and go to church. She hand stitched countless beautiful
quilts and made each of her family members one of their own. She even won first place ribbons
for her masterpieces at the Pueblo State Fair. Dolores was a devout Catholic and her faith in God
was unwavering. Throughout her life she was a member of various churches in Trinidad,
Hoehne, Pueblo and Brighton, CO, and attended mass faithfully.
Proceeded in death by: Parents – Tony and Geraldine Cordova. Daughters – Theresa and Mary
Michelle Baca. Daughter-ln-Law – Pauline Baca. Brothers – Forrest and Ted Cordova. Husband
Orlando V. Baca. Numerous cousins, brothers & sisters-in-law and friends.
Survived, loved and missed by: Sons – James Baca and Wayne (Kathy) Baca. Granddaughters
Brenda Patricolo, Debbie Baca, Holly (Edward Martinez) Giron, and Shauna Buanteo. Great
grandchildren – Xavier Baca, Nick Patricolo, Brooklyn Patricolo, Alexis McCarthy and lsiah
Hermasillo. Sisters – Donna (Bill) Flecksteiner and Judy Medina. Brother – Juan (Janie) Cordova.
Numerous godchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Although our beloved Dolores is no longer with us physically, her spirit will always be with us.
Her memory is a blessing, and her legacy will live on through her family.
Rosary and funeral mass will be held on Monday, October L3, 2025, at g:30 AM at Holy Trinity
Catholic Church. Graveside services will immediately follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery. ln
