Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Clayton Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Manuel Marquez was born on January 1, 1937, in Sophia, New Mexico to Sabino Marquez and Sidia (Salazar) Marquez. He was raised in the Sophia and Clayton area. Manuel met Lou (Green) Marquez while she was living in Keyes and they were married on May 12, 1962, in Clayton, New Mexico and she preceded him in death on March 2, 2015. They moved to Dalhart and later to Dumas before returning to Clayton in 2008. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Michael Marquez in 1982.

2 DAUGHTERS: Rhonda Thomas and her husband Danny of Dalhart, Texas and Regina Rice Reynolds and her husband Marvin of Amarillo, Texas.
1 SON: Randy Marquez and Brenda Thaxtin of Amarillo, Texas.
1 SISTER: Nancy
1 BROTHER: Pete Marquez
5 GRANDCHILDREN: James Lee Lockhart, Devin Ray Lockhart, Alison Marquez, Ashley Marquez and Aston Wayne Marquez.
