In Loving Memory of Anastacia ‘Anne’ Quintana Lucero

Anastacia ‘Anne’ Quintana Lucero entered this world April 15, 1924. She left us July 14,2025.
Anne spent all of her years in her “beautiful little valle/ of Trujillo Creek where she farmed and
ranched with her family and became a well-known historical scholar for the area. ln her early
time, she taught in several local school houses and is fondly remembered to this day by many
former students. She was a devoted member of the Trinidad congregation of Jehovah’s
Witnesses and was very active with their work in her later years.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents Dario and Fedelia (Lav6) Quintana, her sisters
Desideria Quintana and Carmelita (Armijillo) Lopez, brother Desiderio (Lelo/Joe) Quintana,
husband Lucas Lucero, Lucero stepsons Gilbert, Homer, Dale, and Floyd, Lucero stepdaughters
Dorothy Smith and Leiria Archuleta.
She is survived by her son Gordon Lucero and his wife Annette (Meserve) Lucero,
grandchildren Dario and Teelin Dia Lucero, cousin Mimi Vigil, and nephew Ken Maldonado, as
well as a large and loving extended family.
Anne treasured every moment she spent sharing time and stories with all who sat at her table to
eat beans, papas, and com&squash.

Services will be held at 1Oam on Friday August 1at Comi Funeral Home, 1804 E. Main St.
Trinidad, CO. Dinner for family and friends immediately following at The Commons @ The
Space To Create,218 W Main St. Trinidad CO.
