Lillian Valdez Maldonado
December 5, 1941 – July 11, 2025
Lillian Maldonado, 83, of Raton, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025.
Lillian was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her quiet strength, warm heart, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Family meant everything to her, and she dedicated her life to taking care of others.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Maldonado; her daughters, Beverly (Daniel) Vukonich and Aimee (Denver) Feldman; her grandchildren, Kylie (Sean), Kaycie (Kevin), Kori (Dephen), Arissa (Dante), and Avery (Hunter); and three wonderful great grandsons whom she loved dearly Jameson, James Joseph, and Clyde. She is also survived by her siblings, Lucy Cronkrite, Sam (Elsie) Valdez, David Valdez Sr., Lydia Garcia, and David (Carol) Valdez Jr.; and her in-laws, Eloisa Trujillo, Frank Maldonado, and Bernice Sanchez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Lillian will also be lovingly remembered by her lifelong friend, Linda Marquez.
Her family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, kindness, and support during this time. A very special thank you to her amazing hospice nurse, Robin Pilley with Anvoi Hospice, for her kind heart and unwavering dedication to our family.
