Gloria Roy, 83, of Springer, NM passed on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, CO. She was born June 23, 1941 in Springer, NM.
Gloria was employed by the Stockman’s Cafe for many years & also worked at Gamble’s in the late 1970’s.
After Gloria retired from Stockman’s & Gambles, she worked as the Parish Secretary at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for many years; she was also a member of the Altar Society.
One of Gloria’s greatest accomplishments was raising her children & instilling the value of family. She always voiced how proud she was of her children, grandchildren & great-children. She also loved to go fishing, gambling & spending time with her family.
Gloria leaves behind her sons, Anthony Roy (Serena) of Lakewood, WA; Patrick Roy of Las Cruces, NM; Samuel Roy, Jr. (Amanda) of Artesia, NM; daughters, Rita Trammell (Michael) of Puyallup, WA; Renita Eppler (Kurt) of Angel Fire, NM; Chantell Roy of Las Cruces, NM; 10 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Santiago (Jim) Sandoval; Sam Sandoval & Jack Sandoval; her sisters, Cathy Sandoval & Cynthia Sandoval; her sister in laws, Marge Sandoval and Marianna Sandoval.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel W. Roy, Sr.; her daughter Annette; a baby son; her parents, Fillie & Stella Sandoval; brothers, Edward & Rick; mother-in-law Beatrice Roy and numerous other family members.
Recitation of the most Holy Rosary will be held on July 15th at 10am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer, NM with burial following at the Springer Cemetery with celebrant Fr. Trieu.
