Carol Lyn Crary, 76, who resided in Raton, NM, passed away on Friday June13, 2025 at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM. Carol was born on October 12, 1948, in Las Vegas, NM, daughter of Thomas and Erma Davis. She had one brother who died in infancy.
Carol graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, along with her husband Bill, in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Carol had one lifelong friend since high school, Dona Wilcox, as well as many other wonderful friends along the way. Carol was a proud member of PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She was an art teacher and artist throughout her life, teaching in Lovelock, NV, Kress, TX, and Raton, NM, where she retired in 2008. Carol is survived by her husband Bill, son and daughter-in-law Kyler and Shelley, and granddaughter Sydney.
The memorial service will be at the First United Methodist Church of Raton on July 5 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the PEO, c/o Barbara Carlini, PO Box 744, Raton, NM 87740.
