Norwin “Wilk” Wilkinson, AGE 91, DIED Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Home of Clayton.
Norwin “Wilk” Wilkinson was born on April 21, 1934, in Springer, New Mexico to Warren Burton Wilkinson and Ruby Jewel (Taylor) Wilkinson. He attended school in Farley ad Clayton. Wilk married Barbara Ann (Gimson) Wilkinson and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2018. They lived in the Gladstone area, Cimarron and in Vermejo before settling in Clayton. Wilk served in the United States Army from November 27, 1956 to November 30, 1962. During that time he was stationed in Germany from 1956 to 1958 and he qualified as an Army Sniper. Wilk worked as a mechanic and later as a cowboy on the Vermejo Ranch and in Gladston and worked as a Mill Operator for 7H feedlot. After retirement from the feedlot, Wilk worked at Alsup’s and Ranch Market in Clayton for several years. In addition to his wife, Wilk was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Megan L. Wilkinson, 2 sisters, LaDonna Woolley and Deloris Paris and by 3 sisters-in-law, Pauline Wilkinson, Dora Lou Hickam and Nona Gimson.

GRANDDAUGHTER: Sarah J. Wilkinson and John Haymes of Clayton, New Mexico.
GRANDSON: Brett T. Newby of Raleigh, North Carolina.
GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER: Janaey B. Wilkinson of Darlington, Pennsylvania.
2 GREAT-GRANDSONS: Bennett Newby and Nash Thomas Newby both of Raleigh, North Carolina.
2 BROTHERS: Val Wilkinson of Clayton, New Mexico and Eldean Wilkinson of Springer, New Mexico.
