The Bobcats scored first with a single in the first inning followed by Raton’s single run in the bottom of the first. Raton would score twice more in the next two innings holding the Bobcats scoreless. In the fourth Raton allowed one McCurdy run then added there of their own for a 6-2 lead.
Coming from behind the Bobcats added four in the fifth to tie the game at six all. Each team added three runs each to once again tie the game at nine after six innings. In the seventh the Bobcats added a run to go ahead 10-9. Its the bottom of the seventh inning, Raton down by one puts the tying run on base followed by another base runner for the win. Warren Berry comes in on a hit then Chase Middlebrook crosses the plate but was called out setting up the next play with Azden Romero moving to third. With the winning run at third Cameron Edmondson hits one to the Bobcat shortstop who fumbles the ball, in the mean time Romero sprints for home and beats the ball for the exciting 11-10 win to move on in the state playoffs.
