State playoff brackets hit the internet Sunday May 4, 2025, and both Raton baseball and softball teams are seated 8th in their respective brackets with both teams taking a different path in the playoffs.
8th seed Raton (10-11) Baseball will see a home game against the 9th seed McCurdy Bobcats (19-5) on May 7th at 4:30 p.m. The winner of that game will travel to Rio Rancho Jennifer Riordan Spark Sports Complex and play #1 Seed Eunice on May 15 at 12:30.
The #8 seed Raton Lady Tigers (14-10) will host #9 seed Mesilla Valley Christian School Sun Blazers (15-8) in Estancia on Wednesday May 7, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. for a play in game, the winner of that game will then play #1 seed Estancia Lady Bears (24-2) at 4:00 p.m. with the winner advancing to the quarter finals of the state playoff bracket and the loser going to the loser side of the bracket. The loser of the play in game is eliminated form the playoffs.
